My Icelandic great-grandmother, Bjorg |
I want to thank my second cousin Adam for this photo he recently emailed me of our great-grandmother, Bjorg. I had never seen a picture of her before so I was quite excited to have one to make a scrapbook layout with.
For this layout I used some Maja Design papers from their
Ska vi ta en Fika collection:

Chaite |

Hemma hos mig |

Sockerkaka |

Blommor på bordet |

|

Söders Höjder |

I ripped two of the corners off the Chaite paper and stained the edges with diluted Milled Lavender Distress Ink and some brown chalk ink. I then glued some lace under the edges.
These are the dies I used:

The clay piece below the photo was made with a mold and Sculpey Ultra Light. I sealed the baked piece with some matte medium then applied clear Rock Candy Distress Crackle. I used Prima Parthenay Artisan Powder mixed with some water to create a wash and brushed it over top, wiping off the excess from the raised areas.

Along the upper left and lower right corners of the layout, I glued purple seed beads and Prima mulberry mica flakes.
The pale green leaves and most of the flowers (with the exception of the mini roses) are Lilac Melange by
49 and Market from their Shimmer and Shine collection.
Thank you so much for taking a look!
Such a pretty woman Bjorg was and her outfit & hair are fabulous! Love that you scrapped her with purple accents :). Love the corner treatments & the clay piece is super spectacular! Beautifully designed layout Tracy!
