Wind Chimes

My son Evan when he was little (he's 17 now), playing with some wind chimes

For this layout I used Blue Fern Studios papers from various collections.

BFS Serendipity - Merriment
BFS Serendipity - Anticipation
BFS Sanctuary - Garden Plaza
BFS Timeless - Song
BFS Tranqulitiy - Calling Cards

These are the dies I used:

Spellbinders
Romantic Rectangles
Spellbinders
Marvelous Squares
Lifestyle Crafts
Nesting Lace Rectangles
Cheery Lynn Designs
Flourish #13

I traced around the Flourish #13 leaves and along the veins with a brown marker to make them stand out more.  The other die-cuts were layered over a dark brown version to accentuate the edges.

I painted a resin birdhouse to resemble the one in the photo and placed a little resin bird on a flower near it.

The little train under the photo and the tiny teddy bear camouflaged in the large brown flower were made with Sculpey Ultra Light and molds.

Best Flexible Molds
Teddy Bear Picnic
Sunflower Sugar Art
Baby IV mold

These are the chipboard pieces I used:

Blue Fern Studios
Organic Vine Corner
Blue Fern Studios
Checker Bits
Blue Fern Studios
Organic Vine

For the Organic Vine pieces I tried experimenting with a white crackle finish which didn't turn out very well so I sprayed them with Lindy's Stamp Gang spray, Mystic Malachite.

The Checker Bits were painted a medium green colour and then sprayed with the Mystic Malachite spray as well.  The colour looked a little too dark and heavy over the green basecoat so I rubbed some white paint randomly overtop to soften the colour.

Thank you so much for taking a look!

  1. Very attractive layout Tracy! The clay pieces, especially the train, are adorable. I love the way you positioned the checker chipboard.
