Me in 2010 |
For this layout I used two pieces of an Ella and Viv woodgrain patterned paper (one for the main background and the other for the photo mat and the outer mat under the punched borders). I had originally planned to use a different Ella and Viv paper called "Square Space" from their Modern Art collection but I found it hard to work with the busy pattern of it. The colours I used were based on the "Square Space" paper.

I did some stencilling on the background using a Clarity stencil brush and a dark purple ink. I used the same ink (applied directly with the ink pad) around the edges of the punched perimeter.

I inked around the photo mat and around the inner edge of the punched area with an orangey-brown ink.

I liked the pale colour of the Wycinanka pieces so I left them plain. I heat-embossed the Celtic Border with Stampendous Aged Ivory embossing enamel.
