Picnic

My husband's grandmother (second from left) circa 1920

For this layout, I used a piece of 49 and Market paper from their Vintage Remnants collection for the background.  I used the bonus sheet located on the backside of the cover sheet from the Collection Pack.

I did some machine embroidery stitching along the edge of the page.  Switching direction at the corners made the stitches there a bit messy looking so I covered them with some tiny buttons and some Prills.

The stencilling on the background was done using a Clarity Stencil Brush with ink.

These are the dies I used:

Vintage Lace Doily
- ArtScrap (AliExpress)
Marvelous Squares
-Spellbinders
Velvet Lace Mini Ruffle Squares
-Tattered Lace
Ornate Leaves
- Tattered Lace
Ferns
-Tattered Lace
Doily Edge Essential Squares
-Tattered Lace

These are the chipboard pieces I used:

Lace Border 1

Autumn Leaves

I embossed the chipboard pieces with a couple of different colours of Distress Embossing Powders,  using clear ink all over and applying one colour of powder all over.  After that was heated and cooled, I applied clear ink with an embossing marker to some parts and embossed with the second colour.  The colour of the Lace Border wasn't quite what I wanted so I rubbed some paint overtop to better match the orange flowers.

Here are some more closeups:

Thank you so much for taking a look!
