Allan, Bernice and Elsie

My uncle Allan and aunts Bernice and Elsie

For this layout I used a piece of 49 and Market paper for the background and Maja Design papers for some of the die-cuts.

These are the dies I used:

Jasper Doily - Couture Creations
Baroque Border - ArtScrap (AliExpress)
Flower and Leaf Assortments Set 2
Fleurs
Flourish #13
Cheery Lynn Designs
Mini Ruffle Rectangles
Tattered Lace
Square Frames

For the leaf and flower die-cuts, I traced around them with a marker to accentuate the edges.  The larger die-cuts were layered over a black copy and offset slightly to create a faux shadow.  To make the small spiky flowers, I layered the small flower die-cuts and glued some Prills in the center using Perfect Paper Adhesive.  I transfered some of the adhesive to a small fine-tipped bottle for more precise application.

These are the chipboard pieces I used:

Flutter Page Dangles

Spring Trinkets

I painted the chipboard pieces dark brown then applied Prima Texture Paste - White Crackle.  When that was dry I rubbed brown ink overtop to "antique" it and accentuate the cracks.  I also traced around the edges with a brown marker to make it "pop" off the page a bit more.  Nuvo Vintage Drops in Bonnie Blue was applied to the floral parts of the Spring Trinket pieces.

I added a few touches of blue watercolour around the page and applied some Prima Art Stones.  I mixed the 3 different sizes of the art stones in a small cup, poured some Perfect Paper Adhesive overtop, stirred to coat the stones and applied them with a palette knife (scraping small clumps off with a tooth pick).

I also applied a few eyelets and did some punching randomly around the edges of the page.

Thank you so much for taking a look!

  1. This one really caught my eye this morning on my blog list! It's beautiful! Love the colors and what an adorable photo. I've been wondering about Nuvo drops, so I'm glad to see how they look.

    1. Thank you Lisa! I saw Rachelle use Nuvo drops quite a while ago on her blog (http://rachiebabe56.blogspot.com/2018/01/beautiful-49-and-market.html). Of course she makes everything look amazing so I bought a whole bunch, lol.
