Maureen and Cecilia Again

Another photo of my mother Cecilia and her younger sister

For the background of this layout I used a piece of 49 and Market paper from their Tattered Garden collection.

I  did some hand stitching along the edges and some stencilling on the background using Seedless Preserves Distress Ink and a Clarity stencil brush.

These are the dies I used:

Velvet Lace Ruffle Rectangles
- Tattered Lace
Beaded Chains Essential Rectangles
- Tattered Lace
Chunky Lace
- Uniquely Creative
Mini Delicate Doilies
- My Favorite Things

As usual, I layered all the die-cuts over a darker version, offsetting them slightly to accentuate the edges.

These are the chipboard pieces I used:

zawijaski ozdobne, małe
-Wycinanka
Morrocan (Moroccan) Accents
-Dusty Attic

I dabbed the Wycinanka flourishes with two colours of Prima Metallique Wax and melted it a bit with my heat gun.

Heather Hills - Metallique Wax
Prima - Finnabair
Sweet Rose - Metallique Wax

The Moroccan Accent piece was painted white and glazed with brown paint to antique it.  I then applied a think layer of glue and sprinkled with Seth Apter Embossing Powders Baked Velvet - Dusk and Lime.
I was going to leave it without heat embossing but the colour was a little too green for this layout so I misted it with Lindy's Stamp Gang T-Bird Turquoise spray and dried it with the heat gun.  I then inked around the edges with Library Green Archival Ink.

To finish, I added a few metal buttons and some inexpensive jewelry pieces I bought on AliExpress.

The larger flowers are all by 49 and Market.

Thank you so much for taking a look!
