My grandmother and her eldest child, Jack |
For this layout, I used some papers from the Remnants collection by Blue Fern Studios.
These are the dies I used:
Astoria Decorative Elements
- Spellbinders |
Romantic Rectangles Two
- Spellbinders |
Oval Majesty
- Spellbinders |
Mini Ruffle Rectangles
- Tattered Lace |
Crochet
- Tim Holtz |
Flourish #14
- Cheery Lynn Designs |
Ornate Leaves - Tattered Lace |
Leaves (AliExpress - eshopmall Store) |
As usual, I layered most of the die-cuts over a darker version, offsetting them slightly to accentuate the edges.
All the chipboard pieces I used are by Wycinanka.
The Wycinanka web site didn't seem to have the particular Retro Station piece that I used but it is the same as the Decorative Corners pieces without the umbrellas and hat.

I did a crackle finish on the Fullness of Summer pieces but didn't like the way it looked so I covered it with Nuvo Drops (Vintage Dusty Rose and Chocolate chip for the flowers and stem and Crystal Antique Rose for the leaves). I also misted them with a bit of Walnut Gold Glimmer Mist and inked around the edges in brown to add dimension.
For the Retro Station corner, Wild Rose Frame and ornament pieces, I coated them with Caramel Cream Nuvo Crystal Drops and then rubbed them lightly with Rose Gold Metallique Wax by Prima.
I also rubbed some of the Rose Gold Metallique Wax on the the jewelry pieces at the top left and bottom right corners and on the seed stems.
The large flower is an old Prima one from my stash. The taupe ones are by Petaloo and the other flowers and bead stems are by 49 and Market.
Thanks you so much for taking a look!
